Raymond J. Ankrum Shares His Views on Local Radio Stations
Raymond J. Ankrum, the principal and executive director of Riverhead Charter School, has recently appeared on two local radio stations, where he shared his insights on a wide variety of education-related issues. Mr. Ankrum was interviewed by Juliana Spano of WRHU-FM, Flagship Station of The New York Islanders, and Donna Donna of WBAB, one of Long Island’s biggest and most respected radio stations.
“Appearing on the radio was a great opportunity for me to educate listeners about some of the most important and pressing issues facing educational institutions, and charter schools in particular,” says Raymond Ankrum. “It’s a great platform where I was able to address a wide array of topics, ranging from common misconceptions about charter schools, performance standards for educators and students, leadership strategies for teachers and common core, among others. It was a privilege to be a featured guest on two radio stations and share my views about the topics I am most passionate about – creating a stimulating learning environment for students and giving them the quality education they deserve.”
Mr. Ankrum’s interviews were aired on Monday February 22, 2016 and Sunday March 6, 2016.
