| RCS Students prepare for NYSMA Solo Competitions Every spring, NYS Music Association holds festivals for over 100,000 students in New York State. Students prepare vocal or instrument solos and perform before a NYSSMA judge at a festival site. NYSSMA medals are awarded to top-scoring students.
